What a fabulous feeling it is winning a contest. Particularly when you are up against nine other incredibly talented industry peers, chocolatiers and restauranteurs. We rejoiced mightily at the Arts Center's Chocolate Fantasy Gala when our name was called...
"And the winner of the Most Delicious Dessert for Chocolate Fantasy 2013 is Forks and Corks Catering!"
We were a hit with our now famous, award-winning Chocolate Margherita Mousse "Shot" with Layers of Salted Caramel, Chocolate Ganache and a Lime Sugar Rim
It was such great fun to share experience this with our staff, particularly Wendy Reigler, our Director of Operations and our amazing Jill-of-all-Trades (there is nothing this woman can't do!) Wendy brainstormed the concept and components with me all week and our set-up design at the event. We had two other major events on our calendar that night, so Wendy "represented" and greeted each attendee with a warm welcome and a little chocolate love. We owe a lot as well to Lucy Williams, our talented baker who worked long hours making the chocolate tequila mousse and the chocolate ganache and piping each shot glass with layers of deliciousness.
